Satiety Foods

High satiety foods keep you full longer so you’re likely to eat less and lose weight.  In the popular Beyond Calories portion of the Idiot Proof diet you can expect to eat a lot of these foods!

Like the GI Diet, this type of diet can result in consuming fewer calories and being more satisfied with what you do eat. Empty calories often make you eat more and if you eat fast food and high fructose corn syrup that tricks your hypothalamus, it can result in overeating.  Taking your time eating, eating food that’s wholesome and high in fiber and watching your portions can all help!

Here are some foods that are considered high on the Satiety Index:

Brown rice, wheat pasta, beef, eggs,oatmeal, fish, oranges, boiled potatoes.
