ACV Diet: Apple Cider Vinegar
By on Sep 8, 2008 in Health and Wellness, diet tips
Organic apple cider vinegar with the mother (such as Bragg’s ACV) is said to help with weight loss because the vinegar prevents the body from storing fat. While there is no hard evidence that this is true, having a dose of apple cider vinegar with each meal can definitely promote health in many ways.
Organic Apple Cider Vinegar tastes awful but can work in terms of providing many health benefits including:
acne, allergies, acid reflux, flu, candida/yeast infections, sore throat, cholesterol, blood pressure, gout, improved pH balance, fights bacteria such as food poisoning and more.
Adding a tablespoon to each meal is a good idea. Using it in cooking and in your salad dressings is a good idea and it also does a wonderful job of cleaning. ACV that’s organic can be typically bought for under $4 a bottle from health food and bulk ingredient stores.
Whether apple cider vinegar can help you with weight loss or not it can definitely be a healthy supplement to add to your diet. You can also take it in capsule form if you despise the taste but neutralizing the taste with honey or baking soda can be helpful and you can also dilute it with apple juice to make it tolerable. Take note that it’s not advisable for tooth enamel to brush your teeth immediately after taking ACV.
